Project Description
Commercial for 7-Eleven México’s SevenLand event, featuring streamers such as ElMariana, Alana, BarcaGamer, and La Rivers. My work focused on scene cleanup, 3D tracking for integrating particle simulations, and facial replacement in a specific shot. The project blended striking visual effects with influential online personalities, resulting in a fun and memorable commercial that strongly connected with its audience.
Process
To maintain a clean visual in one of the scenes, it was essential to correct background imperfections and remove unwanted elements. I used rotoscoping techniques and alpha creation in After Effects to isolate the main subject from the shot and remove tracking markers. This process involved generating masks for objects that obstructed the scene, as well as creating a primary mask using tools like the Roto Brush, carefully refined to achieve a seamless and natural integration with the environment.

The next stage involved 3D tracking the footage to implement particle simulations. Environment patches were also generated to cover the tracking markers, followed by the final compositing process, integrating all previously created elements into a clean and visually engaging shot.

For the head replacement, I began with planar tracking of the body to accurately capture the character’s movement in the shot. A specific frame containing the desired expression was then extracted and kept consistent throughout the sequence. The original face was replaced with the selected image, and the previously generated track was applied, ensuring the new face naturally followed the movement of both the body and the camera.
